Beatitudes of Jesus Christ
1st Beatitude
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
-Matthew 5:3 NIV
As I contemplate this verse, It thought me how loving our Lord is. If we humble ourselves, God will bless us. He will open our hearts and mind so we can hear Him, see Him, and feel His love.

2nd Beatitude
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
-Matthew 5:4 NIV
As I contemplate this verse, it reminds me of how my sins are so disgusted and my conscience are convicting me. This verse is also reminding me of how I need the saving grace of God. I was so greatful that because of His precious blood, He saved a wretched man, a sinful man like me. I'm so blessed for having Jesus as my Lord and my saviour. Because of Him, I have peace, hope and so much love in my heart.

3rd Beatitude
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
-Matthew 5:5 NIV
As I contemplate this verse, it reminds of how I should trust and put my faith in God. Full surrender to His will, to humble myself, not my will but His will be done.
God has a plan for me and it's way better than mine. Surrender is not cowardice but a sign of strength and faith. God is in control.

4th Beatitude
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
-Matthew 5:6 NIV
If we really love God we will feel in our hearts that we have the desire to know Him, to worship Him. We will have the hunger and thirst for His words. We will love to listen to Worship services, and reading the bible is no longer an obligation, but because of our love to Him. We want to know Him more. When we read the Bible God talks to us, and when we pray, we pour our hearts to Him, He listens.

5th Beatitude
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
-Matthew 5:7 NIV
This verse reminds of the Golden rule, ""Do unto others what you want others to do unto you"". When you give to people, don't expect anything in return, because our God that sees what we do in secret is the one who will pay us. If we forgive people, it also shows that we understood that we too were given forgiveness by God. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and we all need mercy and grace from God."

6th Beatitude
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
-Matthew 5:8 NIV
God is Holy, so we should be Holy. While we are still living in this fallen world, and still in flesh, we are not going to be perfect, there are times that we will fall and commit sins. God is so merciful and loving, that His grace, the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ cleansed all our sins, whether past, present or futre sins. What we do when we sin, we need to pray and confess our sins. We should always go back to God. Let's not let sin hinder our relationship with Him. God is always ready to welcome and embrace us, draw near to Him.

7th Beatitude
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
-Matthew 5:9 NIV
As Christians, we have to promote peace to everyone. We are God's workmanship, commanded to share His word, and to witness to people about His great love for us. We help people to reconcile to Him. We all want to have an abundant life, that no matter what our status is, we have this peace in our hearts.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
-Matthew 22:38-39

8th Beatitude
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
-Matthew 5:10 NIV
Blessing comes from obedience. Sometimes even when we do the right thing there will be people who will not like it and disagree with it. We cannot please everybody. But as long as we are doing what is right and pleasing to God, God will be our defender, God will be our helper.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
-Matthew 10:28

Bible Verse for Work
Psalm 128:2
God is giving us an assurance that our work will not be put in vain. There are times the it feels like nothing is happening or no one is appreciating our efforts, don't lose heart. Deuteronomy 24:14
Good leaders treat their followers fair. People will follow you, if they see that you are worthy to follow. People will only care what you know unless they know that you care. Be a blessing to others and serve them well. Then true respect and trust will follow.
It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.”
-Deuteronomy 32:35

There are times that working is so stressful and you may feel demotivated. Learn to be grateful with what you have. Ecclesiastes 3:22
A man should rejoice in his own works - Do not turn God's blessings into sin by perverseness and complaining; make the best of life. ... You may be happy if you please; cry to God, who never rejects the prayer of the humble, and gives his Holy Spirit to all them that ask him. - Clarke's Ecclesiastes Bible Commentary
Ecclesiastes 9:10
For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.
Acts 20:35
Let us remember, whatever a man sows, that will he also reap (Galatians 6:7). If we sow abundantly, we shall reap abundantly (2 Corinthians 9:6). The implication can also be made that if we sow begrudgingly, our reward will be bitterness and resentment. If we sow joyfully, our reward will be blessings and true prosperity.
Do you truly appreciate the words of our Lord, “It is better to give than it is to receive” (Acts 20:35)?

John 6:27
In chapter 6, Jesus feeds thousands of people who had been following Him. He does this by miraculously dividing the contents of a small lunch, leaving more left over than He had to begin with. At first, the crowd is amazed and they enthusiastically praise Jesus. After sending the disciples across the Sea of Galilee, and rescuing them from a storm by walking on the water, Jesus once again addresses the crowd. This time, He emphasizes the spiritual lesson behind His prior miracle. In response, most of those who had been praising Jesus turn away from Him in disappointment.
Acts 20:35
God gave us talents, and these talents should be shared to people. The skills that we learned through years of experience mold us to be the better person, and its best to use this to help people become better versions of themselves too. Be that gift that other people is waiting to receive.
